Rebate systems for associations

For the City of Frankfurt, providing support for the non-profit associations in the city was an important concern in the tender process. For this reason, the provisions relating to space used by several advertisers (advertising columns for event and cultural advertising) and to event advertising on switching and distribution cabinets come under two special rebate systems.

Rebate system 1: 100% discount only against reimbursement of the technical costs

The first rebate system commits the concession holder to make available to Frankfurt’s non-profit associations 10 % of the advertising space on the round advertising stelae (general ad media), as well as 10 % of the entire event advertising on switching and distribution cabinets (mosquito frames), together with a 100% discount on the media provided (price for the use of the ad medium). Only the technical costs for installation and surveillance will be invoiced. The technical costs are posted on the Website of the Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH (Ströer) company at Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH (Stroer). These costs amount to 3.5 euros net per poster on switching and distribution cabinets and 4.2 euros net on general ad media per A1-sized posters (59x84cm). It should be noted that the cost of printing is not included and need to be considered.

Realization of posters on the advertising stelae is organized by means of a communal events calendar posted on at least 300 such stele round town. This is organized by Stadtverband der Frankfurter Vereinsringe, a body that represents the city’s associations. Interested and entitled associations can register on the data base under the tab “Veranstaltungen” (events) on the website www.stadtverband.de. The event will then be displayed on the Stadtverband website as well as in the events calendar.

Should your association wish in addition to the events calendar to make use of the 10% allocation on ad stele, then please contact DSM direct: phone Herr Haas on 069/1543-322 or e-mail to kulturmedien-sued-west@stroeer.de. Please note that at present the minimum booking size is 316 stelae, i.e., the cost will be at least 1,327.20 euros net plus the costs of producing the A1-sized posters. The exact display period (starting date and duration) depends on the ad block schedule (on average 11 days).

On principle, the Stadtverband der Frankfurter Vereinsringe e.V. events calendar has priority.

Implementation on the switching and distribution cabinets is handled by the individual users, in this case the associations interested and authorized to use the frames. NB: The minimum number of frames to be used is 50 frames, i.e., the costs run at a minimum of 175 euros net for the technical costs plus the costs of producing the A1-sized posters.

Should your association wish to make use of this allocation, as a first step please send your preliminary booking enquiry to werberechte@stadt-frankfurt.de and state the time period involved and the name of your event. Display of the posters always commences on Thursdays for a period of 14 days.
As regards all booking enquiries: A binding booking (contract) is only transacted if the association confirms the offer it receives from DSM. There is no legal basis for any claims against the City of Frankfurt as a result of this process. 

Rebate system 2: 50% discount on list prices

In addition to the limited “Rebate system 1” non-profit associations in Frankfurt can be granted a 50% discount on the list price for bookings on these two types of advertising media (general ad media and on switching and distribution cabinets). Should an association wish to make use of this service, it should contact DSM Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH (kulturmedien-sued-west@stroeer.de)  directly.

Registration of interested non-profit associations

Associations that wish to avail themselves of the new rebates must register once with the City of Frankfurt. To this end, place download the relevant form (see the PDF file "Registration" below) and complete it and sign it. Please then send the form together with the corresponding attachments as scans by email to werberechte@stadt-frankfurt.de. After your application has been evaluated you will be sent an email stating whether your association meets the terms and conditions. Please note that the data are forwarded to our partners at DSM Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH and Stadtverband der Frankfurter Vereinsringe e.V. This only happens in connection with realization of the rebate system, however.

District posting

Independently of the abovementioned advertising options via DSM Deutsche Städte Medien GmbH, associations also have the option of inexpensively notifying people of events in “their” district in that district itself.
